Boudoir Session Details

Boudoir |’bood,war| is popular in someways but not mainstream and well known. I’ve noticed that the word boudoir isn’t completely understood. The meaning of boudoir is a women’s dressing room. This French word has inspired the intimacy in this style of photography. The definition of boudoir photography is a form of professional photography that is intimate, flattering the curves and beauty of the client’s body. Ive been photographing women for nearly 10 years and in that time I’ve seen these photo shoot empower many women. Boudoir photos don’t need to be a single experience, over the years I’ve done many boudoir shoots for women during different phases of the their life. You might be wondering where a boudoir photo shoot happens. Boudoir photos can be taken in many places with each clients comfort level considered, most commonly a hotel, a studio, in clients home. Some obscure locations I’ve photographed at, a beach, on the side of a road.

Before you wonder if this style photography is for you let me tell you it is for everyone! Who doesn’t loved to be adored, pampered, and empowered?

I’m here for you every step of the way. From booking, to planning outfits, hair and make-up planning, and posing I’m with you every step of the way.

When you arrive for your session I will have you layout your outfits and we can plan what to wear first, I’ll have suggestion for your level of comfort. I find that most women feel most comfortable not looking in the camera until after a few photos are taken. Once a few shots are taken and we get into the flow I’m happy to share a view of the back of my camera. During the session Im your other set of eyes for the hair that is out of place or the angle that needs to be changed up to show your curves that show your beautiful body.

What are some reasons to do a boudoir shoot? Do it for empowerment, do it for a groom gift, partner or spouse gift. Consider this style session as a self-care time.

What next………… Your photos will be edited and delivered to your email on a temporary online link for your private viewing. The images can be downloaded to a hard drive and saved to enjoy over the years. We can also discuss professional printing, and albums for tangible keepsake.
